Josh focuses his practice on project development and transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors. He is a specialist oil and gas lawyer with over a decade of experience both in-house and in private practice. What makes Josh a unique value proposition is real-world experience of operations on a live producing oilfield with PetroChina International on site at the Halfaya Oilfield in Iraq.

Josh advises project and transactional participants in international markets across the oil and gas value chain - upstream, midstream and downstream. However, Josh is known for upstream subject matter expertise. Josh's deep industry knowledge is informed by an international career in complex legal environments including many of the world's hydrocarbon super basins. Prior to Brodies, Josh served in senior strategic roles for super-major oil and gas operators, including one of the world's largest, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company as Vice President, Legal Operations Commercial & Technology.
