Greg May

Greg is a partner in the oil & gas team with particular expertise in the drilling and service sectors. Greg has more than 25 years of experience as an oil and gas practitioner and has worked extensively in-house, as well as in private practice.

Greg’s concentration over the past 23 years has been the drilling sector and he has significant in-house experience in this area including three years as General Counsel for Transocean’s Europe and Africa Business Unit based in the Paris, and seven plus years as in-house counsel for Global Marine, GlobalSantaFe, and ADTI - providing legal support in relation to drilling contract negotiations and the management and administration of related service sector contracts, as well the drafting and negotiation of turnkey drilling projects in the North Sea and West Africa.

Greg is qualified in both English and US law, a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and ranked Band 2 by Chambers and Partners.
